Allison is an artist and illustrator living in Brooklyn, NY.

Her work traverses the human form, becoming lost in the shapes, shadows, and lines it creates. She aims to capture intimacy at its core, evoking common elements of the human experience through sexual pleasure, loneliness, grief, or tenderness.  As we endure such extremes of human emotion, her work seeks to jab right at the center of what makes us so drawn to share in each other’s pleasures and pains.

She looks to the ever-present, free-flowing undulation of the human body for inspiration, how muscles under flesh ripple and pulse, how bones protrude and recede. Her paintings and drawings leverage the mediums’ sense of fluidity and physicality; large swaths of color with ink and gouache, gestural sweeps of graphite, and chaotic, frenzied lines with pen and ink evoke a sense of immediacy to form intimate connections with the viewer.
